Ball Mount Installation & Use

The ball mount secures to the mounting ball using a friction fit.

Press the mount firmly onto the ball until it is seated securely and does not move easily.

Apply only the amount of force needed to achieve a secure fit.

Some mounting balls have a rough or textured surface. Excessive pivoting or repeated repositioning on these surfaces may gradually wear the inside of the mount.

For best results, minimize unnecessary movement once the mount is positioned.

Ensure the mount is not installed where it can interfere with the deployment of airbags or safety equipment.

Only install within the cabin of the vehicle. 

Friction-Fit Maintenance

This mount relies on friction to remain securely positioned. Frequent repositioning may gradually wear or smooth the contact surface, reducing its grip. If the mount begins to loosen, apply one smooth layer of electrical tape around the ball and reinstall the mount. Confirm that the mount fits snugly and remains secure before use. Replace the tape if it becomes worn, damaged or displaced.
